MEET THE BAND

We commonly go out as a band of 4 musicians, however, for larger venues and many reeling events we regularly play as a band of 5, 6 or more, often plus a piper. It’s entirely up to you. We have an “A-team” that play together for most events, and we regularly call on carefully selected professional musicians to join us.

Band Leader and CEO!

Frank Reid’s musical journey began with highland dancing and piano, transitioning to the accordion at 14. By 18, he had formed his own band. Steeped in the tradition of Scottish Country Dancing, with its hundreds of tunes, Frank’s repertoire isn’t just extensive, it’s etched with the stories of countless celebrations. Over 4,000 events later, Frank curates the perfect ceilidh, wedding or reeling playlist. For weddings and ceilidhs, he plays accordion and calls the dances at the same time! Frank is married to Sheena (who occasionally plays in the band) and they have two daughters, Eilidh and Iona – both musicians! Having spent many years down south, the family now lives in Glasgow, and Frank splits his time between his home town and a base in East Sussex. In his spare time Frank is a Chartered Accountant!
